Summary

This graphic archive is one of the sources included in “Industry and industrial heritage in Barcelona (18^th-20^th centuries)”. It is a compilation, in digital format, of part of the graphic material collected by Mercè Tatjer whilst she was researching for her books and articles about industry in Barcelona. It collects together about 300 images (pictures, images, documents) related to currently existing or former industries dating from the 19^th and 20^th centuries and located in the 10 districts of Barcelona. A copy of this graphic archive, which has been reorganised and expanded in collaboration with Guillem Orts, Glòria Clavera and Javier Fraga, is included in the research project “Industrial heritage legacy in the media”. This graphic material can be used to work on different subjects, ranging from the architectonic structures of factories represented in pictures and engravings to the advertising designs depicted on their products.
